About Dysport®
Dysport® is a prescription botulinum toxin, similar to BOTOX® Cosmetic, which safely and effectively smoothes moderate to severe facial lines and wrinkles. It is typically injected into the horizontal forehead lines, crow's feet, and vertical furrows between the eyebrows. Dysport® is injected into specific points between and over the eyebrows. It blocks nerve signals so that muscle activity ceases, preventing the contractions that cause wrinkles.
Dysport® is extremely effective at paralyzing the muscles, but it only targets specific ones so that you can maintain your unique expressions.
Dysport® Treatment
Dr. Justo will select the targeted facial muscles, and gently inject the Dysport® through a thin needle. The entire treatment takes about 10 to 20 minutes, and is virtually pain-free.
The results of Dysport® can last up to three or four months, and it's recommended that you return for repeat injections to main your results. Side effects are uncommon, but include irritation of the nose or throat, headache, and pain or infection at the injection site. If you experience problems swallowing, breathing, or speaking after treatment with Dysport®, contact our office immediately.
