Honoring Veterans Today

The Gift of Freedom 

We all have heard the phrase "Freedom isn't free."

I have had the honor to meet many patients, and friends, who have lived the life of veterans. Of families of veterans who give so much.

Veterans are proud, and don't ask us to honor them.

We honor them because we should. Because it is the right thing to do. 

I enjoy hearing the humble stories of veterans, the incredible stories that reflect remarkable lives.

Today, we pay tribute to those heroic veterans who have and continue to give to us daily. I invite you to meet a few of my friends, and patients, who have shared their stories of valor with us, as you pay tribute.

As many of you know, today is my birthday.

It is humbling to spend it thinking of those who helped my family live a lifestyle that I could never have enjoyed, without my parents' bold journey to take me to a nation of heroes who value Independence.
