Arizona Eye Institute Welcomes New Medical Optometrist  

Emily Marsh, O.D., brings two decades of experience as the new Assistant Director of Optometry for the Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center.

"I consider Dr. Marsh a gift to our community, and we welcome her as we continue to grow our nearly 32-year practice and provide the service this community deserves," said Founder & Medical Director Emilio M. Justo, M.D. "I could not think of a better way to start a new year on the right foot. Dr. Marsh has earned her reputation as a highly experienced medical optometrist who takes the time to educate and advocate for every single patient she sees."

Dr. Marsh offers routine eye exams for eyeglasses and contact lenses, as well as comprehensive medical eye exams. Using the practice's state of the art technology, she treats common as well as complicated eye disorders including dry eye, diabetic eye, glaucoma, macular degeneration and she works closely with Dr. Justo to diagnose cataracts or blepharoptosis.

She takes walk in and emergency exams at our Sun City office located at 10701 West Bell Road. 

"As a medical provider, I feel strongly about the quality of the doctor-patient relationship," Dr. Marsh explained. "It is extremely important to me that the atmosphere is open, compassionate and directed at developing a mutual understanding of the problem at hand and planned course of action. I aim for everyone to feel comfortable in the exam setting and want to ensure that every patient feels welcomed to freely express their thoughts, concerns and questions."

Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry, Biology & Health Service Organization & Policy, graduating Cum Laude in 1998 from Wichita State University. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. While there, she earned the Award for Clinical Excellence in Contact Lenses.

Dr. Marsh was a finalist for the Best Optometry Practice in Sonoma County in 2019, and is an active member of several professional organizations. Former Captain and MVP of the Wichita State University Basketball Team, and remains active and enjoying the Arizona outdoors.
