"As a medical provider, I feel very strongly about the quality of the doctor-patient relationship. It is extremely important to me that the atmosphere is open, compassionate, and directed at developing a mutual understanding of the problem at hand and the planned course of action. I aim for everyone to feel comfortable in the exam setting and want to ensure that every patient feels welcomed to freely express their thoughts, concerns and questions about the problems they are facing. Ensuring that the patient goes home with a better understanding and awareness of their condition with the latest, cutting edge knowledge and tools available, is of primary importance. I firmly believe effective communication is an integral component in being able to continually achieve the best outcomes possible."
My decision to join the eye care field stems from a life-long enthusiasm for science and engineering, learning about how the world around us works, and how we can improve our interaction with it.
Eyesight in particular caught my interest early on, and I have subsequently devoted my professional career to learning all about the eyes and how we can best take care of them.
In addition to learning about the eye itself, my professional career has provided me the opportunity to gain insights into the amazing complexity of the human body and how intricately, it as a
whole, is related to the health and well-being of our eyes. This has emphasized the value in taking an integrative approach to eye health that involves taking good care of the entire body and a preventative approach to problems.
