Dr. Eugene Shifrin

Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center is proud to introduce Eugene Shifrin, O.D., as our Director of Optometry.

Dr. Shifrin brings more than a decade experience to the 27-year practice.

In his role, Dr. Shifrin will co-manage patients with  Founder & Medical Director Emilio M. Justo, M.D.

"Dr. Shifrin has proven his experience in serving a wide range of patients and vision needs, and will play a vital role in the pre- and post-operative care of patients. He fits in well given his commitment to providing every patient with the best possible care at every step."

Dr. Shifrin says the key to his success has been a phrase that has inspired him throughout his career:

"Treat your patients the way you want to be treated."

"To me, the meaning of that phrase goes far beyond a successful diagnosis and treatment," Shifrin explained. "It encompasses our ability to listen, relate and understand. I continuously strive to create a team oriented approach to patient ophthalmic needs. I aim for my patients to clearly understand their condition prior to leaving our office. I firmly believe that a trusting relationship is a cornerstone to a successful patient-doctor team."

Dr. Shifrin earned his Doctorate in Optometry with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and earned residency experience at the Brandywine Eye Center in Pennsylvania. Dr. Shifrin is a member of the American Optometric Association, Arizona Optometric Association and the National Glaucoma Society. He graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Biology.

Dr. Shifrin will join the Arizona Eye Institute team at our three Valley locations. We look forward to introducing him to you at your next appointment.
