Recently, Arizona Governor Doug Ducey issued an Executive Order that lifted the state-wide mandate for masks. The order asked businesses to continue to follow CDC guidelines to continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  While we respect everyone’s personal choices surrounding this matter, the nature of our work with our patients require that we work in close proximity of each other and therefore we believe it is in the best interest of our business to continue wearing masks until further notice.  We will revisit this policy once we have more time and information to evaluate the impact the executive order has on our industry and community.  In the meantime, we respectfully ask that while you are providing us the privilege of caring for you and your loved ones, that you please respect our mask policy. Masks are required on every individual in the building, covering the mouth and nose.
We understand that this has been a trying time for all involved, and we are all ready to get back to normal as soon as possible. We are working hard to create processes that will allow us to do so shortly. We are confident that within a short time, if we can all work together, we will return to normal. We are very excited to see your smiling faces again, soon.

This August we are celebrating Eyelid Awareness.

What You Need to Know About Droopy Eyelids

1. It’s common for our eyelids to droop. Sometimes it is just part of aging. Other times, it is genetic.

2. It is easy to fix droopy eyelids. Dr. Emilio M. Justo performs dozens of outpatient eyelid surgeries weekly.  The 20-minute upper eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) involves a laser to excise the extra skin and fat quickly.

3. We can often get your eyelid surgery authorized by your medical insurance if we can show that your droopy eyelids are impacting your peripheral vision.

4. While there are definite cosmetic benefits to eyelid surgery, it is a procedure that directly impacts quality of life by enabling you to experience a full field of vision once again, and enjoy activities that may have become more difficult, with a partially obstructed view.

5. Your insurance may already cover your upper eyelid surgery. Don’t let droopy eyelids limit your lifestyle!

"I can see better than I have in 15 years. I look better and feel confident!  I was treated with dignity and kindness by Dr. Justo and his team. They are the best if you suffer from droopy eyelids.  My sagging eyelids had bothered me for years. The Arizona Eye Institute should give classes on bedside manner to other medical practices. .”  -Sally Rappolt.

Your insurance could already cover upper eyelid surgery. Ask about your benefits and your candidacy today!
