ENJOY LABOR DAY - YOU DESERVE IT!

I want to take a moment this Labor Day and send a special thank you out to my incredible, dedicated staff who have been even more amazing than usual during these recent difficult times.

I am proud of the incredible staff we have built as we have grown over the years. In fact, we just celebrated a 15-year, 20-year and two 21-year employee anniversaries with more to come!

I am grateful to those who have been here to help us grow over the years, and to those who joined us more recently, bringing unique skills and ideas learned elsewhere that have further benefited the practice.

Thank you all for remaining strong, working hard, staying safe and well, and smiling as we all focus on caring for patients we consider extended members of our family.

You all touch the hearts of our patients every day, and make medical experiences special and memorable in a great way.

And to our wonderful patients who have also been working hard in so many ways - thank you for all that you do to keep our community strong.

THE FIRST LABOR DAY

The first Labor Day holiday was celebrated on Tuesday, September 5, 1882, in New York City, in accordance with the plans of the Central Labor Union. In 1884 the first Monday in September was selected as the holiday, as originally proposed, and the Central Labor Union urged similar organizations in other cities to follow the example of New York and celebrate a "workingmen's holiday" on that date. The idea spread with the growth of labor organizations, and in 1885 Labor Day was celebrated in many industrial centers of the country.
