Patrick S. Kelley, M.D. Ophthalmologist
Dr. Patrick S. Kelley is a board-certified ophthalmologist and surgeon with specialized fellowship training in cornea and refractive surgery. His expertise encompasses refractive and cataract surgery—particularly intraocular lens (IOL) implantation—as well as the diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases. Dr. Kelley is dedicated to offering the latest advancements in eye care, tailoring each treatment plan to the unique needs of his patients.
He received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland in College Park, followed by his Medical Degree from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo. During his distinguished service in the United States Air Force, Dr. Kelley completed a general surgery internship at the David Grant Medical Center (Travis AFB) and an ophthalmology residency with the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium.
Throughout his more than 20 years in the military, Dr. Kelley held chief ophthalmology positions at both Keesler and Wright Patterson Air Force Bases before leading ophthalmology and refractive surgery at Joint Base Elmendorf Richard Hospital in Alaska for four years. After retiring from the Air Force, he served as an associate professor at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, mentoring residents, before returning to Alaska and later relocating to Southern California in 2019.
Dr. Kelley is an active member of professional organizations such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time with his family and participating in a variety of outdoor and sports activities.
