Attention to Cataract Surgery Safety

Description

John Caudlik has undergone cataract surgery at Arizona Eye Institute & Cosmetic Laser Center and it helped him maintain his independence. He was also very impressed with the cataract surgery safety procedures. Dr. Justo and his staff made him comfortable throughout his procedure.

JOHN: My name is John Caudlik and I had cataract surgery. I had a friend of 25 years who had procedures done here and was familiar with the organization. And he highly recommended that since I needed that type of surgery, he thought that this would be the place to get it. I came here cause I needed to pass the driver’s test. Despite the fact I’m older and I’m a very, very active person, if I couldn’t get my driver’s license, my whole life would change, and not for the good. So, I had to pass that test. And that was the motivation. And I did. November the 6th I passed the test. So, I’m a happy man. The staff is very attentive. Their obviously very concerned about how everything is going. And one of the big things that impressed me was safety was a major point that they made all the time. They double-checked everything and I was very comfortable with the procedure. I don’t think they could have done more for me to make me comfortable and to make my family comfortable. The procedure, I really didn’t have a perception of what would occur, except from the point that it would take about an hour. And from the time I came in to the office here, everything went like clockwork. Everything was administered. It was a step-by-step process, well rehearsed, well orchestrated. I know he does hundreds of these, but this was like it was the first time. They were very precise about everything that they did. I was very impressed with the whole process. I would recommend Dr. Justo to anyone. It’s an easy thing for me to do.
