Since 1989, I have been the founder and medical director of the Arizona Eye Institute and Cosmetic Laser Center, whose flagship offices are located in both Sun City West and Sun City, with a satellite office in Wickenburg. Although based in the Metro Phoenix area, our patient client list is vast, with patients coming to us not only from various locations in Arizona, but from numerous states across our beautiful country, not to mention as well, a variety of international patients traveling to see us. It all begins with the basics: an eye exam. We provide both medical as well as routine annual vision checks and can fit you for eyeglasses and contact lenses right here in our Just For Eyes Optical Boutique, where we carry the latest eye wear fashions at great value within each of our three office locations. When we do diagnose something more serious, such as glaucoma, macular degeneration or cataracts, we have specialists right here on site who can continue your care in one of our offices. Our best value to you and our reputation as a leader is based on our experience in vision and cosmetic surgery. Our Sun City West office houses a state licensed, medicare certified and fully accredited surgical center on site, where I perform dozens of cataract surgeries every month. Arizona Eye Institute is one of the few practices in Arizona that houses the LenSx femtosecond laser for refractive cataract surgery. This is the latest in laser technology and allows me to perform cataract surgery that is bladeless. There are no stitches, no needles or eye patches, and patients can have a far more precise and safe procedure while at the same time healing very quickly. In our quarter century serving the community, we have always strived to be on the forefront of technology and will continue to make that commitment. I am proud to be the first Arizona surgeon, in 1999, to implant a during cataract surgery, and I am committed to always providing my patients with the best in technology, safety and compassionate care. Another popular surgery we provide to patients from all over Arizona is eyelid surgery. In particular, CO2 laser blepharoplasty. As both an eye surgeon and a cosmetic surgeon, I have the equipment and the knowledge to evaluate and test how drooping eyelids impact your vision. Thus we are often able to assist our patients in obtaining authorization for their medical insurance to approve upper eyelid surgery, such as laser blepharoplasty. It's important to know that while the surgery provides obvious cosmetic benefits by eliminating excess skin and fat above the eyelid, it may also be considered functional, or medically necessary, and will have a real positive impact on your vision.
