When I was a kid,
[00:00:10.320]
I had some vision problems,
[00:00:11.600]
and my optometrist helped me to resolve those vision issues.
[00:00:18.320]
Also, those things affected my learning
[00:00:20.360]
in school, and the resolution of those things had a positive impact in my life.
[00:00:25.640]
I liked my optometrist. He was a great guy.
[00:00:27.840]
He was a really great doctor
[00:00:29.560]
and I wanted to be like him.
[00:00:31.640]
Those things helped me to make that decision.
[00:00:33.560]
I decided at a very young age, I was age 12
[00:00:35.880]
and I decided to be an optometrist.
[00:00:38.560]
My most favorite part of working here
[00:00:40.960]
is the interaction that I have daily with patients.
[00:00:44.200]
I really enjoy working with people and I get a positive feedback from them.
[00:00:49.200]
I think in educating patients, that's the most important thing, too.
[00:00:52.440]
When people understand what is going on with their treatment,
[00:00:56.000]
they respond positively and that makes it all worthwhile for me.
[00:01:01.520]
They were very personable.
[00:01:03.200]
They asked me questions just not about my eyes,
[00:01:07.600]
but about my life in general, what was going on
[00:01:12.360]
and that made me feel more comfortable.
[00:01:14.520]
I was not just coming here because something was wrong with my eyes.
[00:01:17.960]
It was almost like coming to family is what it became.
[00:01:21.720]
Well, we like to spend a lot of time with our patients.
[00:01:24.600]
We like to make everyone feel
[00:01:25.880]
that they're the most important person we've seen all day.
[00:01:29.040]
We like to make people feel that they're getting the highest quality eye care here.
[00:01:33.080]
I like for my patients to feel like
[00:01:35.040]
they're being treated as a person, not just as a pair of eyes
[00:01:38.520]
that have come in.
[00:01:39.320]
I love what I do, and I knew that I would when I was a kid,
[00:01:43.120]
and I still love what I do very much and plan to practice for many years.
